For the 2020 model year, the Mercedes AMG GT brings a bunch of styling improvements and many technological and performance updates customers will certainly appreciate. Just like before, the AMG GT is one of the most exciting to drive two-door sports cars available today. Consisting of premium 2020 Mercedes AMG GT parts and accessories built to the highest standards, the car keeps providing snarling acceleration, a wicked exhaust note, and an ultimate driving experience it has been known since its release. The AMG GT lineup, previously consisting of three trims (GT, GT C, and GTR), now adopts the new GTR Pro trim level, which tops the line for the 2020 model year. Compared to other models in the line, the GTR Pro is a more track-focused car with lighter components and more aggressively designed aerodynamic trickery.
The new car features a redesigned coilover suspension that comes with manually adjustable dampers. Moreover, both front and rear anti-roll bars can also be finely adjusted. In addition, the top-grade model has spherical bearings for the rear lower and upper wishbones, carbon ceramic brakes, and many other highlights that make it look and feel special. The GT’s powertrain hasn’t been changed for this year, so the 2020 model keeps getting power from a 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 engine. The unit delivers different power outputs depending on the trim level. Thus, it produces about 468 HP in the base model, 550 HP in the GT C, and 577 HP in the GTR and GTR Pro. To improve driving performance, the automaker has blessed its new offering with the revised AMG Dynamic Stability Control that offers four levels of settings. The entry-level version of the four-door coupe named the AMG GT 53 is powered by a 3.0 L inline-six engine good for 429 HP mated to a 9-speed gearbox. The hybrid 48V EQ Boost system can add 21 HP at low speed for a short period of time. The model comes with the 4MATIC+ AWD as standard and features sport-tuned suspension, retractable rear spoiler, and Burmester surround-sound system.
On the outside, all 2020 Mercedes AMG GT accessories are perfectly combined to create a familiar appearance. Although, the sports car still brings some exterior changes. Thus, it is now more angular at the edges and boasts slightly redesigned headlights. The 2020 AMG GT also has a new tailpipe design. Inside, the sports car greets with the same stylish and hi-tech interior consisting of top-notch 2020 Mercedes AMG GT accessories. This model year brings many updates. Thus, the GT now features the new touchpad-operated infotainment and a 12.3” display for the instruments as standard. The newcomer also boasts a steering wheel that has two touch-sensitive nubs to control the instruments and a 10.3” screen. Customers will also appreciate a special LCD display that allows the driver to control drive modes.
