Developed by Mercedes-AMG especially for Pagani, this narrow angled 60-degree engine employs a range of advanced technologies. Thanks to dry sump lubrication, it provides prompt response even in the most extreme conditions. The turbines ensure immediate throttle response, enabling you to have full control over the car. Besides, the power unit meets the requirements of strict Carb and EURO 6b environment regulations. The engine works together with a 7-speed automated-manual originally developed for the Huayra BC. Combined with new carbon synchronizers, it features electronic activation and hydraulic systems delivering seamless operation. The entire transmission assembly is nearly 40 percent lighter than conventional dual-clutch gearboxes.

To cope with a huge power output delivered by the engine, the 2018 Pagani Huayra utilizes a potent braking system by Brembo. The system includes 6-piston calipers in the front, 4-piston ones in the rear and new carbon-ceramic implants, all specially designed for the new model. Calipers were developed cooperatively by Brembo and Pagani, and their design allows for reducing the weight of the unsprung mass and ensures an excellent balance of technology and look.
